The Val Passiria is an ideal destination for hikers. It features countless peaks, a nature park, and a distinctive landscape. The Val Passiria High Route is well known as one of South Tyrol's finest panoramic tours. It leads across the valley to the Römerkehre below the Passo di Monte Giovo.
In addition, the Merano High Route in the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park runs partly through the valley. The pleasant climate near Merano, the cooler summer air above the valley floor, and the alpine pastures serving traditional and innovative dishes make these walking routes highly varied.
