You can spot the first signs of spring in the Spring Valley or explore the Rio delle Foglie Gorge, or Bletterbach Gorge, known as the Grand Canyon of South Tyrol. Visitors can also discover numerous historic castles around Appiano on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Later in the year, autumn provides a great opportunity to watch the local grape harvest.
Pleasant temperatures and mild winters make cycling and hiking possible throughout the entire year. The off-peak seasons of spring and winter provide quieter moments for outdoor activities.
