Spring circular walk tracing the awakening nature on the slopes of the Valle dell’Adige valley

Our spring walk starts in Andriano surrounded by blossoming fruit trees. We follow path no. 5, which leads us to the edge of the valley. From the alluvial fan of the Rio di Gaido, we walk slightly uphill to the forest, taking a pleasantly wide path in a north-westerly direction.
The route is part of the Way of St. James, as shown by the shell symbol on some signposts. This Camino de Santiago describes a network of pilgrimage routes across Europe, all leading to the supposed tomb of the apostle James in Santiago de Compostela in the Spanish region of Galicia.
Small terraced orchards interrupt the forest along the path. We follow path no. 5B and reach some farms, including the Bittnerhof tavern. After crossing the small valley of the Rio Pletter stream, we head towards Bavaro Castle near Sirmiano. Walking past the beautiful grounds, we follow path no. 9 down to Nalles. Now in April, mainly tulips are blooming here in the village of roses.
After the bend by the Schwanburg estate, we reach the village centre with its baroque Church of St. Ulrich. The return to Andriano takes us along path no. 5A in the Valle dell'Adige. It follows the road and leads through patches of deciduous forest. Rich with impressions of the blossoming natural and cultural landscape, we finish our almost three-hour spring circuit in Andriano.
