Spider Park High Ropes Park

Aiming high: In a small forest in Plan in the Val Passiria, there are four courses with varied exercises

Between larches turning colourful in autumn and peaceful mountain meadows, platforms and climbing ropes span up to the treetops. The new Spider Park High Ropes Park was created in a small forest near the mountain village of Plan in the Val Passiria, taking visitors up to heights of 40 metres. All around, the three-thousand-metre peaks of the Oetztal Alps rise into the sky.

The Spider Park's four courses, ranging from easy to medium difficulty, are laid out here over a length of 85 metres. They reach up to 18 metres in height, while the zip line course reaches heights of up to 40 metres. The four zip lines (for ages 10 and up) lead across the Rio di Plan, the mountain stream that flows through the entire Valle di Plan in the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park.

The introductory course is easy and can be attempted by kids aged six and over (accompanied). The training course features eight exercises and is suitable for whole families - promoting team spirit along the way. The practice course is slightly more difficult and includes nine exercises. The pro course, with its 10 exercises, can be tackled by those aged 10 and over (accompanied).

A new net course for children was added recently, allowing even the youngest ones aged three and up to scramble about. The latest technology from Bornack ensures safety. How to reach the Spider Park? It is located about a 15-minute walk from the (car-free) centre of Plan (towards Zeppichl and the Lazins Hut). For further action in Plan, perhaps after your climbing adventure, the Plan Passiria mountain carts start at the Grünboden mountain station.
