Labers Castle rises into the sky in the homonymous city district, conveying a special atmosphere to this place.

High above Merano and surrounded by vineyards and fruit orchards, the little district of Labers nestles. Its homonymous castle deserves particular attention and was mentioned for the first time in the 11th century. In 1885 it was restored, in the course of embellishment works two turrets were added, while today this castle hosts a hotel. Only a stone’s throw this place, there are the castle complexes of Rametz and Trauttmansdorff with its famous Botanic Gardens.

The fantastic view of the historic town of Merano accompanies you when you walk across the apple trees. Slightly above Labers, there is the entrance to the Val di Nova and Merano Montefranco.
