Val di Fosse Adventure Trail

A nature experience trail leads through the scenic beauty of the rustic Val di Fosse valley in the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park

The largest side valley of the Val Senales is the Val di Fosse, which can only be reached via a partly steep road that ends at the Casera di Fuori car park (chargeable). This is where the almost 5-kilometre long hike starts, which will take you to the Maso Gelato in about 1.5 hours.

Display boards and interactive elements provide a deeper insight into this unique landscape and shed light on topics such as alpine farming and cheese production, the resettlement of the stone deer, and stories and old legends handed down about the Val Senales and Val di Fosse valleys.

The Val di Fosse Adventure Trail (Almerlebnisweg Pfossental) leads past the Casera di Mezzo Mountain Hut and the Rableid Hut, which also offer some interactive elements, so that the trail is also an experience for children (who are experienced in hiking). For example, a simplified model of a butter churn invites you to turn and tells you how South Tyrolean milk is made into butter.

Combined with good weather and a great picnic, the experience in the heart of the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park and the Val Senales valley is perfect!
