Ski tour to Mount Cima del Tempo

The Cima del Tempo (2,709 m a.s.l.) in Fleres is a worthwhile but highly challenging tour destination in the Val di Fleres valley.

A highlight in the Val di Fleres valley is on our programme today. By car we reach S. Antonio in the Val di Fleres valley, across a bridge we reach the village of Stein and follow the signposts to the parking space no. 3, where the forested trail to the Malga Allriss starts. On skis we follow the trail to the Malga Alberes, several times we can shorten the trail in direct way across the forest. At 1,534 m a.s.l. we reach the Malga Alberes, which looks really inviting, but so far we resist. For a little while we still follow the forested trail leading us across the beautiful Val Alberes, then we traverse nice skiing grounds towards the head of the valley.

Underneath the Passo del Muro we need to walk up a steep slope. In zigzag we finally reach the pass (2,511 m a.s.l.), that provides a fabulous view on the surrounding mountains. With skis we walk towards east, it is getting very steep and we approach the cross at the summit. From the ski depot we walk to the highest point (2,709 m a.s.l.). From the highest point we can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Stubai Alps, the striking Tribulaun as well as the glaciers of the Val di Fleres valley.

When skiing down, we stop at the cosy Malga Allriss mountain hut. Ski tour for experienced ski mountaineers, especially recommendable in spring. Absolute secure conditions required , as the slopes are very steep. Be careful also in case of icy snow, take ski crampons and ice pick for the summit. Danger of snow slabs. Recommendable after a clear and cold night.
