Hike to the Val Campo di Dentro valley

In the shadow of the woods of the Sesto Dolomites Nature Park this hike leads us from Mt. Baranci to the Tre Scarperi Mountain Hut in the Val Campo di Dentro valley, near Sesto

The Val Campo di Dentro valley (Innerfeldtal), surrounded by the impressive Sesto Dolomites, is the destination of this tour. We start in San Candido. By the Monte Baranci Chairlift we reach the Gigante Baranci Mountain Hut (Haunold-Hütte) at almost 1,500 m a.s.l. where we follow the path no. 6A and then no. 7 to the "Gemeindekaser". Soon the forest road turns into a wooded trail.

At the junction beneath Mt. Piccola Rocca dei Baranci we follow the path no. 7A towards the Tre Scarperi Mountain Hut (Dreischusterhütte). The path proceeds along the hill before it leads us down into the lowland. There we follow the path no. 105 for about 15 minutes to reach the hut.

We are rewarded with a gorgeous view on the Sesto Dolomites of the Val Campo di Dentro valley. After a deserved rest we walk along the path no. 105 out of the valley through the beautiful Val Campo di Dentro valley, past the tavern "Zur Klaus/Alte Säge" until the bus stop at the parking space. Here we take the bus back to San Candido (Innichen).
