Herbs

In the herb gardens of many South Tyrolean farms plenty of domestic herbs like marjoram, dill, wormwood and rosemary grow. Aromatic herbal mixtures, spicy herb salts or scenting herbal teas are produced under the trademark "Red Rooster".

The used herbs must correspond to the regulations of organic farming and guidelines for medical plants and have to be collected at the right time. A mild drying cures the fresh herbs. The temperature during the drying process must not exceed 40° C, only so the full aroma is kept.
