In the valley basin of Prato allo Stelvio, or Prad am Stilfserjoch in German - there, where the road ascends towards the Stelvio Pass and leads up to heights where the temperatures are refreshing even in midsummer - the outdoor swimming pool is located. It is the sports zone of Prato, where there is also a parking space for visitors. Water games and a baby paddling pool are waiting for the little ones, and a 42 metre long water slide for the older visitors.
The water is heated so that it is pleasantly warm even on not so nice summer days. The mighty forests of the Val Venosta valley stretch out all around and provide a beautiful, relaxing panoramic view from the edge of the pool. A snack bar and a children's playground complete the offer.

Depending on the weather, the start and end dates of the swimming season at all outdoor pools in South Tyrol may be shortened or extended at short notice, or postponed to another day.
The swimming season for 2026 is expected to begin in early to mid-June.
