Pichl is the name of the village part of San Genesio, where the San Genesio outdoor pool can be found. It is located below the village centre, where the San Genesio Cable Car used to lead up from Bolzano. It has been dismantled in the meantime and a project is being planned: The cable car will be completely rebuilt in the next few years. There are also tennis courts in this sports zone.
The facility also has a small bar with a terrace next to the pools and is a popular meeting place in summer on the Salto plateau above Bolzano. The large pool with a depth of up to 4 metres is intended for swimmers, next to it is the children's pool, which is only 0.5 metres deep. The large sunbathing lawn all around is the perfect place to really relax - while reading, daydreaming, watching the clouds or enjoying an ice cream.

Depending on the weather, the start and end dates of the swimming season at all outdoor pools in South Tyrol may be shortened or extended at short notice, or postponed to another day.
The swimming season for 2026 is expected to begin in early May.
