The MeranArena combines indoor and open-air swimming pools - climbing, playing tennis and ice skating are also possible here
The two public swimming pools in Merano alternate: The MeranArena indoor pool remains open from September to May, then the MeranArena open-air pool opens. The indoor swimming pool is located near the racecourse in Maia Bassa and includes a training pool, a diving pool with a mobile floor, a non-swimmers' area and a baby pool. Baby swimming and aqua fitness, competitions and training sessions take place here, complemented by a 300-seat stand and a catering area.
When the indoor swimming pool then closes for the summer months, the outdoor pool opens its doors. It is located on the outskirts of Merano, 10 minutes by car or bus, and is particularly popular for its slide, whirl loungers and diving tower. The completely renovated outdoor swimming pool creates a touch of spa atmosphere when you look at the antique wooden changing rooms. A large sunbathing lawn with a beach volleyball court and a café with snacks round off the offer.
