Small Monticolo Lake Lido

A few minutes' walk north-east of the Big Monticolo Lake in Appiano on the Wine Road, the Small Monticolo Lake shimmers through the trees. Cosiness and tranquillity characterise the area, which is hidden in the forest. The Monticolo Lakes are ideal for swimming and boating and can be rounded on foot or by MTB. There is a forest car park at the Big Lake, and the Appiano lake and hiking bus stops there in summer. A shuttle service continues from Monticolo to the Small Lake.

The lido there, i.e. the bathing facility on the lake, consists of a sunbathing lawn, a jetty and a playground. The adjoining snack bar invites you to stop for a snack, an aperitif or an ice cream: You can rent a rowing boat here. SUPs are also becoming increasingly popular on the lake: This sport, which is practised on a surfboard, improves your balance and strengthens your muscles.
