Gitschberg-Jochtal skiing area

Some years ago, the two small but mighty skiing areas Gitschberg and Jochtal became one, thanks to a new cableway.

From the winter season 2011/2012, the two small but mighty skiing areas of Maranza and Valles, Gitschberg and Jochtal, have become one. A total of 51 km of ski slopes on the southern slopes of the Fundres Mountains and 16 lift facilities, including a cabin with glass floor, are waiting for you. If the weather is fine, from the top of the Gitschberg you can enjoy a great view on more than 500 mountain peaks. A snow park, the Gitschberg Speed Track, two certified ski schools and the children parks of the Jochtal (Gimmy Park) and Gitschberg ski schools complete the offer of the Gitschberg-Jochtal skiing area. New is the Wood Line, a kids area in the forest with wooden elements (ski slope 10).

Along the slopes, the mountain huts and refuges such as the Anratter, Pichlerhütte and Gitschhütte ski huts as well as the two mountain restaurants welcome you and treat your palate with local dishes, before you tackle the valley runs. Wide slopes characterise above all the Gitschberg skiing area, while carving fans love the slopes in the Jochtal skiing area. The Dolomiti Superski pass is valid in this skiing region, comprising 12 skiing areas in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites (450 lift facilities, 1,200 km of ski slopes).
