High above Bozen, nestled away in an ancient chestnut grove on the sunny slopes of the Ritten mountain, is Ebnicherhof farm. This is the perfect destination for spring and autumn. The farmhouse parlour and sun terrace are the ideal place to while away the time enjoying typical farm dishes and unique views stretching from the Dolomites to the Unterland (Lower Adige).
"Speck", cheese, smoked sausage, dumpling trio, barley soup, house sausage with cabbage, along with cake and "Krapfen" pastries. "Schlutzer" spinach and ricotta ravioli and meat cuts on request, "Schupfnudel". In autumn, chestnuts. In spring, home-made bread, dumplings with chicory salad, dishes from own cattle, smoked beef with horseradish, "schwarzplentener Riebl" buckwheat pancakes. Juices: apple, elderflower and raspberry.
The 2019 Kerner is very varied with aromas of peach and apricot, with spicy elements and hay, too. It is pleasantly fullbodied in the mouth with discreet acidity. A very good wine with potential. The 2019 Pinot Noir displays lively acidity in the mouth, which is complemented well by good structure and fine-grained tannins. The potential of the 2018 Pinot Noir, which is still quite youthful, becomes apparent in the mouth.
Access route: At Santa Maddalena in Bolzano follow the steep, narrow road for 3 km, taking you straight to the Ebnicherhof farm inn.
