Trafoi skiing area

In the Trafoi skiing area you can follow in the footsteps of the famous Alpine ski champion Gustav Thoeni.

What is the difference between the Trafoi skiing area and other ski regions? It’s Gustav Thoeni! This famous Alpine ski champion was the winner of five World Cups in the Seventies, 24 World Cup races, and a gold and two silver medals in Olympic Winter Games. In this manageable skiing area in the Stelvio National Park he made his first steps on the skis. Today, however, he is the director of the Trafoi Ski School - the ski school offers group lessons or individual lessons for beginners and advanced skiers.

Alpine skiing, sledding, snowshoeing across the winter landscape… enjoy the winter wonderland at Trafoi! The skiing area is one of 15 South Tyrolean skiing areas belonging to the ski carousel Ortler Skiarena. Furthermore it belongs to the Skiarena Val Venosta, the so-called two country skiarena, stretching from Nauders in Austria to Solda in Italy. It includes 52 lift facilities and 211 km of ski slopes in the six skiing areas Solda, Trafoi, Watles, Belpiano, Malga San Valentino and Nauders.
