Michelin-starred Restaurants in South Tyrol

Excellent quality dishes are going to spoil your palate in the Michelin-starred restaurants of South Tyrol.

Since 1926 the Michelin stars are awarded to a small number of restaurants of outstanding quality. The list of the starred restaurants is published in the "Guida Michelin Italia 2022". The maximum number of stars that could be awarded is three. 1 star stands for "a very good restaurant in its category, worth a stop", 2 stars represent "excellent cooking, worth a detour" and last but not least 3 stars that are exceedingly rare stand for "exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey".

Also South Tyrol boasts 19 Michelin-starred restaurants - that's to say one less than last year - listed in the current Italian guide "Guida Michelin Italia 2022". Here you can find the starred restaurants with a total of 24 Michelin stars:

Norbert Niederkofler is not only one of the 11 three-star chefs in all of Italy, but since November 25, 2020, he is also the bearer of the Michelin Green Clover for sustainable initiatives in the field of gastronomy. This prize was awarded for the first time in November 2020.
