Natural snow and idyll in the Ortler Skiarena can be enjoyed in the Malga San Valentino skiing area.
Malga San Valentino (Haideralm, in German) is often considered to be one of the most beautiful skiing areas in Val Venosta. If you like skiing, carving, snowboarding, telemark or cross-country skiing, you are at exactly the right place! And if you would like to learn one of these winter sports, the staff of the San Valentino Ski & Snowboard School will teach you. Three ski lodges - the self-service restaurant Malga San Valentino, the Plagött mountain hut and the Igloo at the valley station - offer rest and refreshments afterwards. Furthermore, since 2016/2017 a new winter hiking trail completes the offer.
The skiing area features a modern cable car with access from the town centre of San Valentino alla Muta. It will take you at 2,200 m asl where other lift facilities are waiting for you. The area is one of 15 South Tyrolean skiing areas belonging to the ski carousel Ortler Skiarena. Furthermore, it belongs to the Skiarena Val Venosta - the ski pass of this two country skiarena is valid from Nauders (North Tyrol, Austria) to Solda (South Tyrol, Italy) and includes 52 lift facilities and 211 km of ski slopes in the six skiing areas Solda, Trafoi, Watles, Belpiano, Malga San Valentino and Nauders. The offer ranges from multi-day tickets and season tickets to multi-day tickets for freely selectable days, family ski passes and special week prices.
