Alpine Pastures and Plateaus

From the high plateau of the Monte Regolo in the south of South Tyrol to the Rasciesa Alp in the Gardena Valley, and from the Rodengo Alp in the Valle Isarco to the Prato Piazza in the Val Pusteria - there are many sites that are ideal for taking a break from everyday life. Often, the pastures and high plateaus are accessible by car or by cable car and offer a great network of hiking trails which you can find in the category "Alpine Pasture Hikes". In autumn, horses, cows, sheep, goats return from these summer pastures to the valley - the cattle drive is widely celebrated in South Tyrol.
