Round trail Millan and S. Andrea

This short autumn walk takes us from Millan via Meluno and S. Andrea.

In late autumn we recommend you to start this walk around midday, as it is the time when the sun-rays warm the slopes underneath the Plose mountain. In the quarter of Millan, city of Bressanone, at the modern church dedicated to S. Freinademetz, our walk starts. First we proceed to the church Maria am Sand. After a short visit of this pilgrimage church, the real ascent starts. Following the path no.° 7 we walk to Riffnol. Via a bridge we continue a section across the dark forest and proceed across the meadows until we reach the mountain hamlet of Meluno.

This is where we follow the signpost no° 12 to S. Andrea, the largest settlement on the slope at the foot of the Plose mountain. From the village with the beautiful S. Andrea church we proceed on the path no. 4 to the hamlet of Mairdorf, and via the path 4A across the autumn broad-leaf forest back down to Millan.
