The local Stelvio National Park is a major draw. The alpine environment stretching towards the Passo dello Stelvio and into the Val d'Ultimo is remarkable, along with the giant rock faces that guard it. Their king is also found here: the Ortles, the highest mountain in South Tyrol.
Further down the valley, you can explore themed routes such as the Arena di Prato Nature Trails, which circles one of South Tyrol's last remaining floodplains. Alternatively, walk the Strawberry Trail, where you can buy sweet mountain strawberries at the end of the route. They are delicious!
