Along the bridle path in the Monte Corno Nature Park

An old connecting path in the Monte Corno Nature Park has been revived. Along this path we walk from Trodena to the Malga Krabes in Anterivo.

The bridle path through the forest connects Trodena in the Valle dei Molini valley with Anterivo, the only municipality in the Val di Fiemme valley that belongs to South Tyrol. Our hike, which we have extended to a circular tour, starts at the car park above the village of Trodena. We follow signpost no. 8, which first leads us to the Forchwald circular trail, the Trodena Trail of Legends (Trudner Sagenweg). This path enters the forest road at a pond to the Rungganö Cross. We follow this uphill (marker no. 5), past flowering meadows, until we reach the crossroads at the beginning of the forest. Here we continue on path no. 5, and the bridle path now leads up to the forest lodges Pinter-Schupf and Peraschupf.

Passing wet meadows and ponds, the trail continues up through the forest and then slightly downhill to the larch meadows near the Langes Moos biotope. At the turn-off, we now follow the forest road with the marker no. 9 towards the Malga Krabes Alm. This sunny mountain hut offers typical South Tyrolean cuisine. But you can also taste very local specialities here, such as the so-called "Altreier Kaffee" (Anterivo Coffee). To return to Trodena, we choose path no. 6, which starts directly behind the Malga Krabes. A short ascent, then we first walk flat through the forest and then along a forest road downhill to the "Alte Säge" and through the village back to the car park, the end of our circular hike through the south-eastern part of the Monte Corno Nature Park.
