Skiing with lake views at the Belpiano-Malga San Valentino Ski Resort on the Passo di Resia mountain pass

Belpiano-Malga San Valentino extends across the Resia Pass in the tri-border region between South Tyrol, North Tyrol, and the Swiss Engadine. From the ski area, you can enjoy fantastic views of the famous church tower in Lake Resia. Thanks to the merging of the two areas, Belpiano and Malga San Valentino, 65 kilometres of varied slopes await you, with guaranteed snow until spring.
They are easily accessible with several lifts and the ski bus: The Piz Belpiano Cable Car starts on the upper western shore of Lake Resia, while the Malga San Valentino Cable Car departs from the edge of San Valentino alla Muta. The Belpiano-Malga San Valentino Cable Car connects the two areas.
Most of the runs are easy to intermediate. Highlights include the Höllental piste with views on the church tower in Lake Resia that soars out of the waters, as well as the 4-kilometre descent from Belpiano to the village of San Valentino alla Muta. In the Belpiano (Schöneben) area, you'll also find Schöni's Kinderland, an outdoor playground, the fun slope with the first two-storey double helix in the Alps, and the award-winning Belpiano Snow Park.
Malga San Valentino (Haideralm), with its mountain restaurant, is a popular winter starting point for paragliders. Its valley run was widened and modernised in the last season. The Belpiano-Malga San Valentino Ski Resort is part of the Ortler Skiarena and the Two Countries Ski Arena, which makes three ski areas in North and South Tyrol accessible with one ski pass. Lake Resia, below the skiing area, also offers unique winter sports activities such as snowkiting and ice sailing.
