Plose Skiing Area

Experience the Trametsch, one of South Tyrol’s longest valley descents, on Bressanone’s local mountain, the 2,562 m high Plose

Bressanone boasts its own ski resort: on the slopes of the Plose, 42 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes and tons of winter fun await. The valley station of the cable car is located just beyond the hamlet of Sant'Andrea and is easily accessible by a well-maintained road. The 10-person gondola lift "Plose 1+2" whisks you comfortably up the mountain via a midway station.

From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, stretching from the Dolomites in the south to the main Alpine ridge in the north. The ski area extends across two of the three peaks of the Plose Massif. Besides the Plose itself, with its famous Trametsch - one of the longest valley descents in South Tyrol - the Cima Piatta (Pfannspitze) is also part of the ski resort.

The Trametsch starts at the Plose Mountain Hut at an altitude of 2,486 metres and descends 1,400 metres over nine kilometres to the valley station. On Mt. Cima Piatta, you'll find the more leisurely family descent. The third peak, the Monte Forca or Gabler, lies within the Puez-Odle Nature Park in the Dolomites. Family-friendly offerings include the Rudiland children's area at the valley station and the RudiRun, a nine-kilometre long toboggan run. It leads from the mountain station to the midway station and, with sufficient snow, even down to the valley.

You can take your first turns on the practice slope at the Randötsch Lift. The Plose is part of Dolomiti Superski and of the Gitschberg Jochtal - Brixen ski pass network. This ski pass covers the five ski areas of Plose, Gitschberg Jochtal, Luson, Velturno, and Funes. A ski bus regularly connects the surrounding villages in the Valle Isarco valley with the Plose Skiing Area.
