3 Zinnen Dolomites skiing region

The skiing region in the Sesto Dolomites in Alta Pusteria belongs to the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel and combines five peaks.

The 3 Zinnen Dolomites skiing region in the Upper Val Pusteria valley includes the skiing areas Monte Elmo-Orto del Toro-Croda Rossa (63 km of ski slopes), Monte Baranci (23 km), Monte Croce (1.5 km), Skicenter Rienza in Dobbiaco (4 km), Braies (3.5 km), Waldheim in Sesto (1.5 km) and Val Comelico (10 km) which belongs to the Italian Province of Belluno. The skiing paradise thus combines 110 km of slopes and 34 lift facilities as well as the five peaks of Mt. Elmo, Mt. Orto del Toro, Mt. Croda Rossa, Mt. Croce and the Comelico Dolomites.

For some years now, the new 3 Zinnen cable car provides the connection between the areas of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa. Since the winter season 2018/2019 there have also been two new slopes - the Signaue II valley run at Mt. Croda Rossa and the Kristlerhang slope at Mt. Elmo -, the Monte Elmo Fun Park and the Croda Rossa Fun Slope, whereas in 2019/2020 the new “Hasenköpfl” premium 8-seater chairlift at Monte Elmo will be inaugurated. The skiing region offers family-friendly large slopes - in addition, three toboggan runs, the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’s ski training track on Mt. Croda Rossa and the kids ski cross run at Monte Baranci are waiting for you.

Snowboarders can look forward to several snow in the region, e.g. the Three Peaks Snow Park at Monte Elmo and the Shaka Snow Park in the Skicenter Rienza. And with a gradient of 71% the Holzriese run is the steepest slope of South Tyrol! All skiing areas are accessible with one ticket only, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski pass or the Dolomiti Superski pass. To the Plan de Corones skiing area, however, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites skiing region is connected by the Ski Val Pusteria express train, which takes skiers within 35 minutes to Plan de Corones. In the near future, there are plans to create a connection between the South Tyrolean 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort and the Thurnthaler skiing area on the Austrian side in East Tyrol which features 50 km of slopes.

In order to protect the health of guests and the local population, the winter season 2019/20 was closed earlier this year, on 11 March 2020. This is a preventive measure against the further spread of the COVID-19 disease.
