The Watles adventure mountain: manageable skiing fun on 13.5 kilometres of slopes above Malles Venosta in the Venosta Valley

Mount Watles, located above Malles Venosta and Burgusio in the Venosta Valley, transforms into a popular, easily navigable ski resort in winter. 13.5 kilometres of easy and intermediate slopes await. The valley station is situated in Prämajur near Slingia, a district of Malles Venosta. You can easily reach it by free ski bus, which then continues to the Slingia Nordic Center (Schlinig Nordic Center), the area's renowned cross-country skiing and biathlon centre.

On the Watles, you'll find a varied ski cross slope with jumps, waves, and curves, a snow park for boarders, the Family Fun Line, and the Bubo Ski Kindergarten for the youngest winter sports enthusiasts. The short Tschunggai slope at the mountain station is ideal for beginners, while the Sautal freeride descent through the larch forest presents the most challenging piste.

The Watles Ski School offers general courses as well as specialised carving and snowboarding lessons. And for tobogganing fun, there's one of South Tyrol's most beautiful natural toboggan runs. The 2,500-metre-high Watles belongs to the Sesvenna Alps in the three-country corner of Italy, Austria, and Switzerland and is also very popular with snowshoe hikers and winter walkers.

A scenic hiking trail leads to cosy refreshment stops like the Höfer Hut with its sun terrace and the Plantapatsch Hut, where you can enjoy South Tyrolean specialities. The ski resort is part of the Ortler Skiarena and the cross-border Two Countries Skiarena with around 160 kilometres of slopes and three ski areas between Nauders in North Tyrol and the Val Venosta in South Tyrol.
