Every year on Easter Monday, an international giant slalom is held in the Belpiano Skiing Area in the Val Venosta
Easter Monday is a festive day on which various highlights are organised. In Merano, the main attraction are the Haflinger Gallop Races, while in the Val Venosta it is the international giant slalom featuring hundreds of participants from South Tyrol, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
These are the final days of the season during which the Belpiano-Malga San Valentino Skiing Area remains open. The International Three-Country Race above Resia offers a fitting conclusion to the final days on the slopes before spring reaches these altitudes. The race starts on the perfectly groomed Fraiten slope. There are numerous categories to ensure everyone can take part: These include Super Baby, Students, Master, Elite and Seniors among others.
The prize-giving ceremony follows the end of the race, accompanied by live music. The competition is organised by ASV Oberland: It was formed several years ago through the merger of the SC Haid, ASC Reschen and ASC Weisskugel clubs. The 75th anniversary is on the agenda for 2026!
