The South Tyrol Jazz Festival offers 10 days full of jazz music and swinging experiences from the end of June to early July
After the beginning of summer, the focus in South Tyrol is set on jazz music. The whole region transforms into a giant open-air stage: The music festival, founded in 1982 and called "Jazz Summer" and "Jazz & Other" in its first editions, was held only in the main town of Bolzano before conquering the whole of South Tyrol. Nowadays it is known as Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige and offers a unique stage for international jazz stars and new talents.
The music is played in towns and on the mountains, at the lakeside and on squares, in parks and castles, in hotels and factories - a perfect combination of urban spaces, culinary delights, top music and a stunning landscape. The Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige begins each year on the last Friday of June and ends on the first Sunday in July, that's to say after 10 days, 90 concerts in more than 50 different places and with 150 musicians from all over the world. Enjoy it!
