Kronplatz Ski & Music

Rock and pop, blues and folk, Latino and Balkan music are on the programme of the music festival on Mt. Plan de Corones

The rooster has been depicted on the logo of the Plan de Corones for decades and here, in the centre of the Plan de Corones Skiing Area, also called "Gigger" in local dialect (Gigger = rooster), well-known street musicians, young up-and-coming talents and bands come to perform in the snow in March. The Plan de Corones Ski & Music Festival offers a colourful mix of different music genres on four festival days on South Tyrol's famous ski mountain. The unique mountain landscape and the perfect ski slopes are the perfect accompaniment.

This International Street Music Festival was launched in 2022 and has since received a lot of encouragement and positive feedback. The grand final concert at the summit of the Plan de Corones takes place on Sunday. Among previous performers were the Gap's Orchestra, Pete Jones, Tommy and the cello boy, Sophie Sutton and Le Fiabe di John. The individual concerts are all free of charge - all you need is the ski ticket to get on the local mountain above Brunico and Riscone. In addition, the Plan de Corones can be reached with the lifts from Perca, Valdaora and Marebbe.
