Bolzano Flower Market

Spring in Bolzano showcases geraniums, petunias, cyclamen, roses and herbs

Steeped in tradition and history with a story spanning over 130 years, yet surprisingly colourful and innovative every year: The Flower Market (Bozner Blumenmarkt) welcomes visitors at the Piazza Walther square in the centre of Bolzano. It charms visitors on the last weekend of April or the first weekend of May with flower arrangements and original decorations. The market's colours and scents blend with the warming sunshine of spring in Bolzano.

The event combines sales by local gardeners with plant care advice from florists and a supporting programme. This includes the opening ceremony, live concerts featuring groups such as Sam & the Goodfellas, an art area for all ages, face painting and refreshments served at the nearby Piazza del Grano by the Bolzano town band.

This market is the oldest and most traditional event in the town and is organised in collaboration with the South Tyrolean Gardeners Association. They are responsible for transforming the historic centre of Bolzano into a vast flower garden during these days in April and May.
