Drei Zinnen Alpine Run

For around 25 years, the majestic Three Peaks have been the backdrop for a top-class mountain run in September

Every year, the South Tyrol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run invites thousands of athletes to one of the most beautiful mountain runs in the Alps: It takes the athletes from the village centre of Sesto over 17 km to the Locatelli Mountain Hut. This is the most famous mountain hut in the Sesto Dolomites, idyllically situated at the foot of the Three Peaks at 2,438 m a.s.l. Therefore, the top athletes overcome a difference in altitude of 1,333 metres. The top results are under 1.5 hours.

While the main run is held on Saturday, the popular Mini Alpine Run for children and youth follows on Sunday. There are 7 categories for the numerous young running talents. The supporting programme includes a dumpling party. But the award ceremony is by no means the end of the event: In connection with the South Tyrol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run, the South Tyrol Drei Zinnen Ski Raid takes place in winter, a ski touring race of a very special kind.
