In the first half of October, for more than 30 years now, the famous Kastelruther Spatzen Festival has taken place in Castelrotto (Kastelruth) where the famous South Tyrolean folk music band was founded. A huge parking space and a giant marquee are offered for the three-days long concert of the beloved "Spatzen". This means also three days of fun and partying, with morning pints, autograph sessions and magic evenings, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Dolomites.

Buy your tickets in time since the festival is usually sold out weeks before. Some months earlier, in June, there's another highlight for "Spatzen" fans, the traditional Spatzen Open Air in Siusi allo Sciliar, 3 km away. So after many concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, twice a year the "Spatzen" unite in their area of origin and give their best for their fans. Have fun!
