What the Strawberry Festival is for the Val Martello, the South Tyrolean Speck Festival is for other valleys, including the Speck Queen. For a whole weekend, the Speck Alto Adige PGI was celebrated so far under the magnificent backdrop of the Odle Peaks: In 2023, the festival will be held on Mt. Plan de Corones in the Val Pusteria valley. It is organized by the South Tyrolean Speck Consortium.

An insight into the working world and customs of the valley is offered, South Tyrolean delicacies are sampled while music is played, and bread is baked in show ovens. Superlatives are not to be missed either, such as the longest Speck table, the largest Speck crown, or a performance by the "Gletscherhans", the fastest Speck cutter far and wide.
