Südtirol Classic Scena

A well-known vintage car rally delights visitors to Scena in the Merano area every July

It is known as the "Rally of Sympathy": The Südtirol Classic Scena has been held in the Merano area for four decades. The event focuses not only on historic vehicles but also on the mountains and fine South Tyrolean cuisine. Participants from across Europe meet with their Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Volkswagens and similar models built up to 1975 in the village of Scena.

The event spans a full week. It consists of a two-day pre-programme with drives into the Valgiovo and to Bressanone, and a rally programme over five festival days. This main programme showcases the vehicles on the Lungopassirio Promenade in Merano and includes the Welcome Party at the Raiffeisen square in Scena with live music, as well as various panoramic drives.

The 2026 drives through South Tyrol's impressive landscapes: Merano Country Prologue (70 km), South Tyrol Classic meets 200 years Passo Stelvio (180 km), Great Dolomite Passes Tour (260 km) and a panoramic drive into the Val d'Ultimo and to Appiano and Caldaro (200 km). The traditional morning pint on the final Sunday brings the programme to a fitting close... until next year.
