Valle Isarco White Wine Festival

At the end of May and beginning of June, the typical white wines are duly celebrated in the Valle Isarco valley

For one weekend in late spring, the exquisite white wines of the Valle Isarco valley are celebrated in the alleys of Chiusa (Klausen). This event offers the best drops from the wineries from the southern Valle Isarco to the famous Novacella Monastery. "Sabiona" is the name of the event, based on the Sabiona Monastery - Säben - which towers high above the medieval town.

The event starts on Friday with a "Stadtl Aperitivo" in Chiusa, and on Saturday the Valle Isarco wines can be enjoyed at the Sabiona wine tasting in the Capuchin Garden. One booth is reserved for South Tyrolean sparkling wine. Other events at various locations such as the Valle Isarco Winery include the vertical tasting of Kerner, a tasting of dessert wines with matching dessert creations, an international Riesling tasting, and the combination of cheese & wine. The Valle Isarco White Wine Festival is framed by the Sabiona Culinary Week.
