Merano WineFestival

The finest wines and delicacies - the WineFestival in November is a firm fixture in the calendar for sommeliers and gourmets

The Merano WineFestival is considered one of the most exclusive events in the wine world, thanks to its philosophy of presenting only the best of the best in terms of wines and foods, selected by tasting commissions from hundreds of wineries worldwide. It takes place every year at various locations around the Old Town of Merano. The well-known Culinaria is the event within the Gourmet Arena dedicated to the Food, Spirits & Beer tasting route.

The event framework also includes the WineHunter Masterclass, inviting participants to exchange ideas with experts, bio&dynamica, promoting sustainable and ethical wine production, the National Riesling Competition Naturno, the Premio Godio for top chefs, the new Slow Food South Tyrol world market at the Piazza della Rena square, and various show cooking sessions.

The Merano WineFestival has been an important part of the Merano event calendar for over 30 years - originally held over three days in November, it has now extended to five or six days. The stylish conclusion is the Catwalk Champagne & More in the Pavillon des Fleurs at the Kurhaus, where a journey through the elegance of sparkling wines awaits you, presented by sparkling wine producers from countries such as Italy and France.
