At LanaLive, Lana is transformed into a cultural meeting place: Discussions, interesting gatherings and live music await
The cultural associations of Lana work together every year to create something major in May. The result is the LanaLive Cultural Festival, which has been inspiring visitors for years. Sound performances are just as much a part of these two weeks as visual arts, theatre, discussions, literature and cabaret. The programme is diverse every year.
LanaLive 2026 places emotions at the centre: Under the title "Topography of Feeling", the festival focuses on feelings such as fear, pride and empathy. These feelings are not only private matters but also societal forces that create a sense of belonging or make conflicts visible.
The aim of the initiative is to connect people and bring them together - and what better way to do this than by bringing culture right into the heart of village life? In addition to local artists, experts from the fields of town planning, architecture and history, as well as local and international cultural creatives, take part in the LanaLive Cultural Festival.
The Südtirol Kultur association, founded in 2007, organises the festival. Its declared goal is the preservation and cultivation of cultural assets across various artistic disciplines. The festival itself dates back to a big band concert in 1984. After years as a music festival focusing on jazz and brass music, LanaLive eventually evolved into an interdisciplinary cultural festival.
