Trauttmansdorff Garden Concerts

The World Music Festival - Garden Nights in Merano transforms the water lily pond of the botanical gardens into a concert stage

On certain summer days, the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in the district of Maia Alta in Merano close a little earlier in the evening to make room for music fans. This is when the Garden Nights take place: live concerts featuring famous names in a unique setting. A concert stage is erected on the water of the lily pond, which serves as a popular resting spot during the day with its bistro and deckchairs, right beneath Trauttmansdorff Castle.

The open-air concert series has been running for over a decade, and fans always look forward to the surprise of the line-up for the next edition. On balmy summer evenings, musicians such as Sportfreunde Stiller, John Butler, Passenger and Shaggy, as well as local stars like the Herbert Pixner Projekt and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, have performed here.

In 2026, guests expected in Merano include Wolfgang Ambros, an icon of Austrian music, and the German electro-pop trio ClockClock. Admission is not included in the entrance fee for the gardens; separate tickets are required. Info and reservations: info@showtime-ticket.com.
