South Tyrol’s largest public festival brings three days of rock, metal, punk and schlager to the Naz-Sciaves apple plateau
Every year in June, around 50,000 visitors meet on the high plateau of Naz-Sciaves near Bressanone to celebrate together. The mix of different music genres and the relaxed atmosphere in early summer in South Tyrol ensure that the festival attracts more fans every year. The venue is the former NATO site in Naz, which has plenty of space for all visitors. With an additional camping ticket, you can stay overnight directly on site.
For getting there, the Bressanone-Naz shuttle bus is available, which runs every half hour. The AlpenFlair Festival kicks off with a warm-up party in the village centre of Naz. A varied supporting programme with stalls, the "Rookies & Kings Outdoor Experience", and other attractions completes the experience. On stage in recent years have been musicians such as Anthrax and Sepultura, Matthias Reim and Heino, The BossHoss and Mando Diao.
The festival was founded by Philipp Burger, the singer of the band Frei.Wild, a German rock band from the municipality of Bressanone. It started in 2011 with a concert to inaugurate the band's tour bus. In that year, they reached number two in the German album charts and were nominated as "National Rock/Alternative Group". Frei.Wild also perform here.
