“Schlerngenuss” culinary weeks

The speciality weeks in the Alpe di Siusi area treat lovers of regional cuisine

All ingredients - apart from oil, salt, pepper and sugar - originate from the Dolomites Region of Alpe di Siusi. These are the "Schlerngenuss Dolomites" weeks, which draw in food lovers for two weeks in June. The prelude takes place around two weeks earlier with the live culinary show "Südtirol kocht" in Castelrotto, where local dishes are cooked and tasted.

Parallel to the opening of the speciality weeks, the "Völser Dorfkuchl" takes place, turning the church square of Fié allo Sciliar into a creative show kitchen. There are gourmet stalls from local farms, transforming the village into a gastronomic mile for a summer evening, alongside live music and top wines from the winemakers of Fié allo Sciliar. Guided tours and wine tastings also take place at farms, wine estates and distilleries in the Alpe di Siusi area during the two weeks.

The Caroma show roastery with its Coffeeseum in the artisan zone of Fié allo Sciliar also opens its doors: the journey of the coffee cherry from the equator to the macchiato cup is explained here. South Tyrol's only coffee roastery houses a training centre, a coffee shop and a museum.

Besides an exceptional culinary experience, a declared goal of the "Schlerngenuss" culinary weeks is to support local farmers and direct marketers, creating a future-oriented 360-degree collaboration. Numerous businesses take part, from alpine huts to restaurants in the village. Table reservations are recommended. Enjoy your meal!
