The Geisleralm mountain hut in Val di Funes sits high in the bleachers on the opposite of the Odle mountain peaks.

Today we decide to do a winter walk in the Val di Funes valley. Starting point for our tour is the hikers' parking space at the Malga di Zannes (1,680 m), subject to charges. First we follow the walking trail no. 33 in western direction. After about 1 km the hiking trail no. 33 branches off on the left, leading the way through the forest. Again and again the snow-covered peaks of the Odle mountains with Furchetta and Sass Rigais catches our sight. After about 500 m we proceed on the path no. 34, taking us to the Geisleralm mountain hut (1,996 m).
This is where a great panoramic view on the Odle mountains enchants us, that is to say "Odle cinema". The Geisleralm is open from the end of December to March, in summer season from May to November. In summer, there is a playground for kids and a little zoo.
After lunch at the mountain hut we head for our way back. Alternatively to walking you can also toboggan back down to the starting point.
If you want to do this winter hike, please take information about the weather and the current conditions of the trail on site!
