This beautiful winter hike leads us through the snowy forests of the Val di Fleres valley and ends with a funny, not too demanding sledge ride.
At the village entrance of Fleres di Dentro, 12 km from the motorway exit Colle Isarco, we park our car and start our winter hike on the forest road marked with the sign "Allriss Alm". In winter, the road turns into a sledge run, which climbs uphill through the snow-covered woods on the shady side of the Val di Fleres valley.
The not too steep ascent leads us in five turns to the inviting Allrissalm mountain hut, which is led by the family of the former Italian ski racer Patrick Staudacher (world champion in Super-G in Åre 2007): we enjoy our relaxing break before we start the downhill run by sledge. The sledge run - also suitable for children and not too experienced tobogganists - has the right inclination to have fun without risking too much. So the return to the starting point is the highlight of a beautiful winter day in the upper Valle Isarco valley.
