Winter hike on the Rodengo and Luson Alp

This leisurely family hike to the Roner Mountain Hut leads us through fantastic snow-covered alpine landscapes

Starting point of our winter hike is the hiking car park Zumis at the Platzer Mountain Hut at 1,719 m a.s.l., which can be reached via Rodengo or Luson village (Lüsen Dorf). The route description is particularly easy: We always follow the wide forest path no. 2 to the Roner Mountain Hut.

Alternatively, you can also reach the hut via the Creation Path (no. 4), which runs parallel through the forest and shows some artworks relating to the biblical story of creation. After a slight ascent of approx. 50 min., we reach the in winter 2019/2020 newly opened Roner Mountain Hut, which welcomes us with delicious, traditional cuisine. It is located on the Rodengo Alp, an alpine pasture area, which goes straight into the Luson Alp. This landscape offers a lot of fun for children.

There are also a small children's igloo, toboggan runs and cross-country ski tracks. For coming back to our starting point, we take the Creation Path (no. 4) and those who have brought along a sledge, can look forward to sledging downhill on path no. 2. This hike is suitable for families and children and for all those who want to spend a comfortable winter day.
