ar/ge Kunst

The ar/ge Kunst working group Art in the Via Museo road in Bolzano is dedicated to contemporary art in all its facets

ar/ge Kunst stands for "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunst", and this association has its headquarters and exhibition room in the Via Museo road near the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in the centre of Bolzano. Contemporary architecture, design, performance and cinema are presented here, as well as regional, national and international artistic practices.

ar/ge Kunst deals with the role of art in the social and political spheres, but also offers workshops, artist residencies, lectures and performances, becoming a meeting place for artists and those interested in art. The gallery was founded in 1985 as a private art association, but ar/ge Kunst is now widely known and continuously presents new art positions.

Recently, another presentation platform was introduced called "metro": It promotes the development of a free cultural network away from the usual venues. A topical issue! And how to reach ar/ge Kunst ("Kunst" means art in German language)? The exhibition is located Via Museo road 29, several city bus lines stop in the adjacent Via Cassa di Risparmio road.
