ar/ge Kunst

The ar/ge Kunst working group Art in the Via Museo road in Bolzano is dedicated to contemporary art in all its facets

ar/ge Kunst stands for "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kunst", and this association has its headquarters and exhibition room in the Via Museo road in the old town of Bolzano, a few metres from the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology. Contemporary architecture, design, performance and cinema are presented here, as well as regional, national and international artistic practices.

ar/ge Kunst deals with the role of art in the social and political spheres, but also offers workshops, artist residencies, lectures and performances, becoming a meeting place for artists and those interested in art. The gallery was founded in 1985 as a private art association, but ar/ge Kunst is now widely known and continuously presents new art positions.

Recently, another presentation platform was introduced called "metro": It promotes the development of a free cultural network away from the usual venues. A topical issue! And how to reach ar/ge Kunst ("Kunst" means art in German language)? The exhibition is located Via Museo road 29, several city bus lines stop in the adjacent Via Cassa di Risparmio road.
