Close to the old town of Bolzano, the Foto Forum Gallery shows seven main exhibitions of different photographers every year
Image gallery: Foto Forum Gallery
Bolzano has its own platform for photography: the Foto Forum in the old town of Bolzano. The "foto-forum / South Tyrolean Society for Photography" organises seven exhibitions every year entirely dedicated to the works of historical and contemporary photographers and photo artists, showing the difference and changes in materials, technique and content in the course of time.
The work of the Foto Forum Gallery - "Galerie Foto Forum" in German, "Galleria Foto Forum" in Italian - which was founded in 1991, also includes lectures on the individual exhibitions, presents photo books in a suitable setting and releases several publications every year. The gallery itself extends over two floors and is adapted for handicapped people: The orientation and size of the rooms allow you to view the works both up close and at a greater distance. And how to reach it?
The Via Weggenstein road is located close to the Arcades of Bolzano and to the South Tyrol Museum of Nature. Most bus lines stop at the Piazza Walther square, just a few minutes' walk away. There is also an underground car park. In summer there are also workshops for kids.
