Every two years, the summer on the Fane Alpine Village in the Valle Isarco valley comes to an end with the South Tyrolean Milk Festival.

The Isarco Valley has about 1,600 dairy farmers who supply South Tyrol's high-quality milk. But how milk and butter are produced, which quality criteria apply, and what has to be taken care of so that milk is on the breakfast table every morning, is the subject of the South Tyrolean Milk Path, which leads from Valles to the Fane Alpine Village, and every two years of the Milk Festival.
The South Tyrolean Milk Festival is organised by the dairy farmers of the Valle Isarco valley together with the South Tyrolean Dairy Association at the end of August, and invites young and old to a special day in the most beautiful alpine village in South Tyrol. There will be milking competitions and butter churning, old legends and cheese and yoghurt tastings. By the way: Another milk festival takes place in the Sarentino Valley at the end of July!
