Al Plan Dolomites Museum

Over time, the Trebo family, who runs the Hotel Al Plan in San Vigilio di Marebbe in the Val Badia valley, has amassed a remarkable private collection. In the museum rooms, you can admire objects from the last 150 years - from wall clocks and masks to corkscrews and pipes, to coffee grinders and religious objects. The exhibits also include classic cars and Vespas.

Those who enjoy nostalgia will be particularly delighted by the many objects the Trebo family has discovered at flea markets, jumble sales, and antique shops. The family's passion for collecting focuses especially on clocks of all kinds. Over 25 years, they've gathered numerous timepieces of various shapes and sizes. Once a year, they are wound by a guest and then tick for an entire day, from 9 am to 9 pm. The rest of the time, they stand still.

After all, time in the Dolomites shouldn't be dictated by the ticking of clocks. The inventory also includes six life-size wooden statues, dressed in the style of bygone eras and with matching hairstyles. Usually, they quietly keep each other company.
