The promenades in the Mediterranean climate of Bolzano and Merano are well-known, winding their way up the hillsides or following in the footsteps of Empress Sissi to Trauttmansdorff Castle. A walk through the Spring Valley - particularly inspiring during the first weeks of spring - or a hike on the Val Racines Valley Path are also ideal ways to explore South Tyrol on foot.
