At the Römerhof farm flour from an old type of corn is milled
At the Römerhof farm, the Giovanett family grows an old type of corn that 50 years ago used to be known as "Tirggplent" in the South Tyrolean Bassa Atesina. The typical orange-red ears of corn are milled into four different types of gluten-free flour in the farm stone mill involving a series of traditional steps.
Access route: After taking the Neumarkt motorway exit, drive in the direction of Tramin. Drive up Zallingerstraße at the junction with the South Tyrol Wine Road (Südtiroler Weinstraße) and then turn off left into A-Hofer-Straße. The farm is opposite Ansitz Romani (follow sign).
