Alpe di Siusi, Monzoccolo or Alpe di Villandro - South Tyrol’s alpine landscapes are ideal for hikes with mountain views

South Tyrol has beautiful alpine pasture areas high above the valleys. These include the alpine pastures above Lasa in the Val Venosta, those on Mt. Punta Cervina near Merano, the Rodengo Alp, which is also popular in winter, and Malga Fane, South Tyrol's most beautiful alpine village.
A hike on an alpine pasture is not complete without a stop at one of the rustic huts. Popular dishes include (shepherd's macaroni and dumplings. In the afternoon, cakes with coffee or a hearty "Speckbrettl" with "Schüttelbrot" crispbread and mountain cheese are served on the sun terrace.
